Sports Massage

Helps to alleviate the stress and tension that builds in the soft tissue of the body during physical activity.

Where minor injuries and lesions occur due to overexertion and/or overuse, massage can break them down quickly and effectively whilst stimulating blood flow and lymphatic circulation helping to remove waste products from the body and reduce stress, fatigue and injury.

 

Soft Tissue Release (STR)

A combination of movements and muscle manipulations providng fast and effective tissue change.

Designed to actively stretch localised muscle fibres, ensuring specific myofibres (muscle fibres) are implicated on each release. Suitable for a wide range of condtions.

 

Neuromuscular Re-education (NMR)

A specialised set of techniques aiming to help relieve any aches and pains. Helps with the management and recovery of a range of ailments including Frozen Shoulder, Capsulitis, Headaches/Migranes, Arthritis, recovery from fractures and muscle tears to name a few.

A hands-on approach to the evaluation and functional treatment of 90+% of soft tissue injuries. This technique helps improve balance, co-ordination and posture. A great treatment with proven results.

 

                        Pleae note the above treatments are often quite intense as a result of the deliberate, focused work.

Holistic Massage 

An application of touch using a range of movements and strokes on the skin, muscles and joints.

Holistic massage has shown significant benefits for the essential systems of the body, improving the circulatory system, relaxing or stimulating the nervous system, reducing stress hormones and removing waste products from the body.

 

Hot/Cold Stone Therapy

The application of water-heated Volcanic Basalt or chilled Marble stones of varying size to provide a deep massage and creating the sensation of comfort and warmth.

The warmer stones expand the blood vessels, pushing blood and unwanted waste through the body, this has a sedative effect on the nervous system.

The cold stones cause the blood vessels to constrict stimulating the nervous system. A great technique on sites of inflammation.

 

Lymphatic Drainage

The use of very light pressure and long gentle, rhythmic strokes to increase lymphatic flow with the aim of getting rid of toxins from the body.

This technique helps with Oedema, stretch marks (particularly during pregnancy), scars, venous & arterial ulcers, lack of energy, sluggish immune system, sports injurires, tissue-regeneration, puffy facial tissue and anywhere the lymphatic system needs a little help. 

 

Indian Head Massage

Evolved from traditional massage techniques in India, applied to the upper back, shoulders, upper arms, neck, face and scalp.

A de-stressing treatment benefitting the whole body, helping to relieve eyestrain and tension headaches, relieve congestion in the head associated with sinusitis and tinnitus. Improves blood flow to the head and neck, increasing the distribution of nutrients and oxygen to the tissues.
